Bible Pathway to TRUE Prosperity #DailyDevotional #Devotional

What is God’s way to true prosperity?

The Bible tells us in Joshua 1:8. As Moses left the command of Israel over to Joshua, he left him with quite a tall task. In that time, God gave Joshua great courage, promise to be with him, and a pathway toward success and prosperity in doing the will of God. Its simple straightforward and important.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success” (Joshua 1:8, NASB95).

For then you will make your way prosperous and have success! That’s a great way to end. What does Joshua make sure to do in order to end up in that situation? First, he needs to speak about and meditate on the Law of the Lord day and night. Second, he needs to let it affect the way he lives.

Its the same for us today. If we want prosperity in pursuing the will of God, we need to be meditating on His Word each day in the Bible and allow that to change the way we live to mirror it. Then we will have prosperity and success. This prosperity may not be measured in dollars and cents but in the life of a clear conscience that enacts kingdom values of eternal weight. A heart that is satisfied with God and His purposes. And often those principles followed allows for some measure of comfort - the comfort of resting in God’s care with little or much.

Enjoy God’s prosperity! Let Him redefine the true meaning of success and satisfaction through His Word.
