Be careful what you feed your mind. Proverbs 15:14 (NLT) 14 A wise person is hungry for knowledge,  while the fool feeds on trash. Make sure your media feeds are providing what is: Pure  Philippians 4:8 (NASB95) 8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 💡WHO IS MORE #BLESSED THAN #MARY #JESUS MOTHER ⁉️ #Devotional #Christian #shorts #Religion #Bible

Image
Who is blessed more than Mary the mother of Jesus? Well, Jesus tells us. As someone cried out - blessed is your mother! Jesus said: Luke 11:27–28 (NLT) 27 As he was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, “God bless your mother—the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!” 28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” You are more blessed than Mary if you listen to God’s Word and obey it! Don’t worship, pray to, or obey Mary. Worship, pray through, and obey God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

💡HANDLE PEOPLE “JUDGING” 👉YOU⁉️ AS A #Christian #Devotional

Image
How do we handle people "judging" us from outward appearance. Well, we should take stock of any constructive criticism we can receive. But most importantly we learn Samuel's lesson to look inward and be sure we stand before the Lord. Consider today's verse from our Bible reading in 1 Samuel 16. Scripture Reading Schedule Monday, May 13th - 1 Samuel 14:1-52; John 7:31-53; Psalm 109:1-31; Proverbs 15:5-7 Tuesday, May 14th - 1 Samuel 15:1-16:23; John 8:1-20; Psalm 110:1-7; Proverbs 15:8-10 Wednesday, May 15th - 1 Samuel 17:1-18:4; John 8:21-30; Psalm 11:1-10; Proverbs 15:11 Thursday, May 16th - 1 Samuel 18:5-19:24; John 8:31-59; Psalm 112:1-10; Proverbs 15:12-14 Friday, May 17th - 1 Samuel 20:1-21:15; John 9:1-41; Psalm 113:1-114:8; Proverbs 15:15-17 Saturday, May 18th - 1 samuel 22:1-23:29; John 10:1-21; Psaom 115:1-18; Proverbs 15:18-19

⏱️60🟰WHAT IS #GOSPEL ✝️ HOW DO I RECEIVE IT⁉️ #Devotional #Christian

Image
Praise God for the Gospel. Gospel means - Good News and refers to God’s message and purpose whereby He has taken on human life, lived a perfect life and died a sacrificial death and rose from the dead in our place. This presupposes, of course, that we need sacrifice. That we need forgiveness. That is also true - all of us have sinned, we have broken God’s cosmic laws and fall short of HIs best desires. And so He has designed this plan whereby someone else, Jesus, would take our place. A perfect substitute. As you embrace not only the truth of your sinfulness - your own inability to find favor with God and embrace this plan, this Gospel, that is saving faith. As you turn to Christ, you willingly give up your own way, your own truth, your own life. You turn from that sin that breaks God’s heart and you with all your heart embrace His own way, truth and life. That is saving repentance. Let me encourage you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ today and be saved.

Here's an encouraging word for you from this baby bird. It was fun to see it hatch in our back yard... and take its first attempts at flying. He made it just fine after a few tries. Perhaps you fell short today in your Christian walk. Don't stay down. Keep flapping. Keep growing in the Word and allow consistent walk in the way of the Lord to strengthen your faith. "Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow" (1 Peter 2:2).

Thinking of a Mother's Day Gift? Well, consider Jesus compassion and help to His mother even while on the cross. He takes care of her financial needs moving forward. Listen to what He says. When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”   Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household" ( John 19:26–27)

“How blessed is the man who finds wisdom . . . Her ways are pleasant ways And all her paths are peace (Proverbs 3:13-17).” Finally, you should ask yourself, what is the wise choice? Simple common sense and spiritual understanding will direct you in the right path. All of the pillars already listed fall under this category. You should always look at the practical ramifications of your decisions. Is it wise to take on a $300 monthly car payment when you are already struggling to make ends meet? No. Spend time in the book of Proverbs. Consider reading a Proverb every day along with the other time you spend in God’s Word. This will allow you to hear God’s precepts of wisdom every day and it will direct you in daily decision-making. How do you know what is wise? Well, Solomon states that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Many people completely destroy their lives because they live without any fear of God. We must realize that God sees our decisions, and like a good Father

When Mothers' Day is Not a Happy Day - Finding the Lord as our Anchor

Image
Many of you are missing a mom this weekend, or perhaps missing a son or daughter. When we are reminded of loss, we chose to remember what Jeremiah “Called to mind and had hope.” He had lost all that was dear to him "on earth." But even in the midst of his weeping and lamenting, he found a foundational truth in the goodness of God. As you weep, focus attention on the glory of God in Christ’s daily compassions on us. Lamentations 3:19–26 (NASB95) 19  Remember my affliction and my wandering, the wormwood and bitterness. 20  Surely my soul remembers And is bowed down within me. 21  This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. 22  The Lord’s  lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. 23  They  are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24  “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” 25  The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him. 26  It is  good that he waits silently For the salvation

🔥SECRET TO #SPIRITUAL🕊️STRENGTH IN DAILY LIFE #religion #devotional #christian #shorts

Image
A secret to spiritual strength in your everyday life comes from Ephesians 5 where God tells us to be filled with the Holy Spirit… and that filling enables us in all the other relationships throughout the rest of the book. Submitting to one another in the family, and the family of God. What is filling? Filling has reference to control - God's Spirit's control. The interesting fact there is that we are commanded to be filled. Be enabled, controlled. That’s a passive verb. It must be done to you by God. So as you face spiritual battles throughout the day, this is something you must ask the Lord to do in you. "Lord, please control me by your Spirit in me." Remember: Stop Drop Control.  Stop what you are doing. Drop to your knees. And ask God to control you. As you ask the Lord to control you, He will give you strength for all relationships: husbands, wives, parents, children, and every other relationship. God's grace living through you can enable you to live a life pl

❤️ENCOURAGING BIBLE VERSE TODAY🟰🔥#GOD’S ❤️ NEVER FAILS‼️ #Devotional #Christian #shorts #Religion

We have all experienced the gut sinking feeling of someone or something failing us. Right when we expected that to come through it fell. It failed. Or worse yet, you've felt like you have failed someone else, or failed yourself. Even the most stable people, banks, and situations can fail us. What never fails? "Praise the Lord! He is good. God's love never fails" (Psalm 136:1 CEV).

The third Pillar for understanding God's will is LOVE. Paul shares this in a prayer request for the Philippian believers. "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God" (Philippians 1:9–11). And as they grow in this they will be able to discern not what is just good but what is excellent. Let's consider the third of five Pillars on which to rest a full knowledge of God's will.

One of the most encouraging Bible verses is Romans 8:28. Love God and trust Him to use all things in our lives to work together for good. He is an almighty glorious God! And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

❤️LOVE #GOD and DO WHAT YOU WANT⁉️✅OR❎ GOD’S WILL PART5️⃣#Devotional #Christian

Image
Love God and do what you want? There is a sense in which that’s true… hear me out. As we grow in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ, He begins to change our desires. New desires develop… a desire to please Him. And it’s those desires that will lead us to life and peace. "As the Psalm says: Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When Christ is our King we seek first His Kingdom. And so our heart changes to delight in Him. And so in that sense, what He wants is what you want. And as you develop that close relationship with loving what God loves you will know how to make the right decisions… Bible Reading Schedule Friday, May 3rd - Judges 17:1-18:31; John 3:1-21; Psalm 104:1-23; Proverbs 14:20-21 Saturday, May 4th - Judges 19:1-20:48; John 3:22-4:3; Psalm 104:24-35; Proverbs 14:22-24 Sunday, May 5th - Judges 21:1-Ruth 1:22; John 4:4-42; Psalm 105:1-15; Proverbs 14:25 Monday, May 6th - Ruth 2:1-4:22; John 4:43-54; P

Mary’s Last Words recorded in the Bible are so important. What did she say? Everything that Jesus says to you, Do. Mary is not a co-redeemer or someone to be worshiped. 💡KNOWING GOD’S WILL⁉️✅OR❎HE SEES🔭 🛤️ PART3️⃣ #Providence #Devotional #Christian #shorts #Religion

Considering God’s Providence helps us discern what His will is: His Providence is literally, that He sees beforehand. God providentially controls all things. Psalms says He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. Ephesians He works all things according to the counsel of His will. Psalm 135:6 (NASB95) 6 Whatever the Lord pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps. He is in control, and He is orchestrating your present and future. He causes all these things to work together for good. SO Trust Him. But also get a birds eye view of the decision. How has He led to this point – what is the trajectory of where your life is going as it pertains to that decision. He has most definitely already laid some track ahead and you’re just following as He leads. What gifts, talents, opportunities, circumstances, desires, helpers has He put in your path moving forward? As you follow the pathway of what He has done to this point you can get a sense of how He is directing a
