The Most Common Christian Sin and it's Solution #Devotional #BibleTeaching #Christian

The sin of grumbling and complaining has to be one of the most overlooked in the Christian community. We excuse it at work, at home and play. Reading God's response to this challenges us to station a guard at the doorposts of our mouths. Let us be careful to buildup and not tear down with our speech. And may we even do so in our thoughts.

"Soon the people began to complain" (Numbers 11:1). How soon we follow their footsteps.

What is the solution? As the world, flesh, and devil seek to grow up seeds of discontent, we must be ready to fight that with God's antidote. And that is Thanksgiving! When tempted to complain I must begin to count the blessings God has given. When focused on the lack, I must praise God for what I have. When burdened by Manna, may I praise God that He is with me and can provide meat.

Wednesday's Psalm puts it so well. "Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High... But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors Me..." (Psalm 50:14, 23).
