As we finish reading the book of John in the Bible there is a very instructive conversation between Peter and Jesus. Peter had denied Jesus and even cursed and swore that he did not know Him. This was after his proud proclamation that even though all would deny Him Peter would not! What does Jesus do when speaking with Peter? He questions his love based on his actions, encouraging him to repent and follow. But He does not cast Peter off. He dusts him off, cleanses him and encourages him to follow and serve. Praise the Lord for HIs forgiving, wonderful grace!
