People DIED drawing near to God in the Old Testament. All is NEW in Christ #Gospel #TraintoHeaven

People DIED drawing near to God in the Old Testament.

Those who were not approved to enter the Temple did not leave if they tried to do so without permission… Only those who were authorized were allowed to draw near. We saw that in today's Bible reading schedule. And yet, Moses drew near and prayed for others to do so. That is what Christ has done for all of us!

This displays the glory of the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS.

God has changed all that in Christ. Jesus took the penalty for our sin opening up the presence of God. once for all to all who will come through Christ. Now, because of the cross, all who are in Christ can draw near.

In fact, He compels and delights that we all draw near to Him. Draw near to God today and God will draw near to you!

"Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water" (Hebrews 10:22).
