In today's Scripture reading God demonstrates His power over sin, and slavery as He delivers His people of Israel from Egypt. He institutes a commemoration of that deliverance in the Passover meal.

"This is a day to remember forever -- the day you left Egypt, the place of your slavery. Today the Lord has brought you out by the power of His mighty hand" (Exodus 13:3).

What a glorious truth that God is a deliverer! He delivers from Egypt, yes, but today He offers all deliverance from slavery to sin. This powerful deliverance too should be celebrated forever!
