Do you feel swamped by the storms of life? I know that many brothers and sisters in the church family are facing storms. I was encouraged by today’s Scripture reading from the life of Paul as he marked day 14 in a deadly storm at sea with no end in sight… Instead of giving in to fear and anxiety. He prayed, ate, and thanked God for the food! And then encouraged others to do the same. He knew that God’s promise to sustain him would keep him safe (Acts 27:33 -35). When we feel overwhelmed by the storms of life, it’s good to stop, eat, rest, and thank God for the day... and then go right back to God's promises. I pray you will be able to do that today, no matter the storm. Make Psalm 145 your meditation: “The Lord sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:14).
